Having just moved to Shiver-by-the-Sea and missing her old friends, Bella Gosi throws herself into helping her mom repair the old movie theater and make it profitable. While cleaning the theater, Bella makes friends with Cooper and his basset hound, then discovers a bat in an old trunk deep in the theater's storage. That bat turns out to be a vampire kid, hungry and scared, who just wants to go home, too.
