When her substitute teacher realizes she is struggling in math, Judy is sent to a math tutor at the local college and soon is completely into the spirit of college life.

As Q explores the life of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, he learns to gain meaning of the phrase "HBCU Proud". All that our protagonist knew of an HBCU is that his entire family loved Legacy University, since they're all alumni! But will Q find his own love for Black Colleges?

The Aldens accompany their grandfather to his class reunion and investigate the possibility of a buried Civil War treasure, and of a ghost in the bell tower, at Goldwin University.
