Description
Lydia Quixano Pâerez is living her dream: a middle-class life in the Mexican city of Acapulco, running her beloved bookstore, being mother to her eight-year-old son, Luca, and married to the love of her life who is a journalist. That all ends when her husband writes a tell-all profile of Javier, a man who bought two of Lydia's favorite books from her shop and also happens to be the "jefe" of the drug cartel that rules their city. Lydia and Luca are forced to flee to "el norte," America, with others running from something--but Lydia wonders what they are running to, as well.
