Description
Thirteen-year-olds Rasheeda and Monique are best friends and both are considered "good girls." Sheeda follows her deeply religious aunt's strict rules and Mo is a talented dancer who was accepted to a prestigious ballet camp. But then Sheeda catches the eye of Mo's older brother and Mo feels like her race is a barrier at the mostly white ballet camp. Even though they have completely different summers, both girls grapple with finding out who they are and standing their ground.
