Max is a cute kitten who dreams of becoming a brave mouse-catcher. So he sets off in search of a mouse, and discovers that bravery perhaps is not so important after all.

"It's bedtime for Max the kitten, but something's wrong; when Max goes to say goodnight to the moon, it's nowhere to be found! Unable to go to sleep without closing his nighttime ritual, he embarks on a journey to find the moon and say goodnight"--

Follow Fingers McGraw, a mouse, as he scurries away with a stolen piece of cheese, and ace lawman Detective Jumbo Wayne Jr., an elephant, tries to catch him.

Max makes a deal with a little bird. If he teaches him to fly, he can eat the bird. Once they achieve this mission, will Max still want to eat his feathered friend?
